Data controller
The data controller is GIADA Labs. For any request about your data, or to exercise your rights, write to hello@giadalabs.com.
What data we process
Data you send through the contact form: name, email address, optional phone and the text of your message. Navigation data: when you give consent, analytics identifiers (Google Analytics cookies and IDs) and IP address, collected to produce aggregate statistics on how the site is used.
Purposes and legal basis
Replying to requests sent through the contact form: legal basis Art. 6.1.b GDPR (responding to your request) and Art. 6.1.f (our legitimate interest in getting back to you). Navigation statistics via Google Analytics: legal basis Art. 6.1.a GDPR, your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. We don’t use the data for marketing and we don’t pass it to third parties for their own purposes.
Google Analytics 4
The site uses Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google Ireland Ltd (and Google LLC for the United States). It collects your IP address and navigation identifiers and sets the _ga and _ga_* cookies to produce aggregate statistics. It is activated only after your consent, through Google Consent Mode v2: before consent, analytics storage stays “denied” and no analytics cookies are set. Data may be transferred to the United States (Google LLC) under adequate safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework). See the Cookie policy section below for opt-out and useful links.
How long
Form data is kept for as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up contact, plus any legal obligations; then it is deleted. Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months.
Tools and recipients
Contact-form messages are delivered by email via Resend (transactional sending); the site is hosted on Railway; statistics are provided by Google (Analytics) and Cloudflare (Web Analytics). These providers process the data as data processors, only to deliver the service.
Cookie policy
Cookies are small text files that sites store on your device to make them work or to collect statistics. Below is which cookies this site uses and how to manage them.
Technical and preference cookies: no consent required (Art. 122 of the Italian Privacy Code). They keep the site working and remember your choices, for example the consent preference stored in localStorage (the “giada-consent” entry) and session data.
Third-party analytics cookies, set by Google Analytics and loaded only after your consent through the banner.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration | Category |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google LLC | Aggregate statistics | 2 years | Analytics · consent |
| _ga_<ID> | Google LLC | Aggregate statistics | 2 years | Analytics · consent |
Cloudflare Web Analytics is cookieless: it collects aggregate statistics without setting cookies and without profiling, so it does not appear in the table.
How to manage consent: on your first visit the banner lets you accept or reject analytics cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing the site’s cookies and data from your browser (or the “giada-consent” entry from localStorage) and reloading the page; you can also manage or block cookies from your browser settings.
You can also opt out of Google Analytics by installing the browser opt-out add-on. For more details, see Google’s privacy policy.
Your rights
You can ask at any time for access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability of your data, withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing already carried out, and lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it). Write to us at hello@giadalabs.com.
Changes
We may update this policy. The version in force is always the one published here, with the update date at the top.
